Thank you so much letting Henric, aka Hendrix, join his furever home on May 8, 2016. When I was looking to adopt a dog a year ago, Henric was the very first dog I saw and I knew there was something about him I loved. I put in 4 applications for other dog because I said I can't just fall in love with the first puppy I see. Well all those others happened to be adopted. I said this is the last application I am putting in and if it doesn't happen it's just not meant to be right now. Well, the next I got an email saying he was still available and the rest is history. He is one dog with such a unique personality and you can't help but fall in love with him. He has 5 brothers who are horses and loves to play with them, even if they aren't in the mood. Thank you so much for blessing me with this crazy little fur ball! I don't know what I would do without him, he is a true companion.
Dexter (gotcha date April 2015) with his little sister
My boyfriend and I adopted Sara grace and we couldn't be more happier with her!! She is such a sweetheart and loves her mommy and daddy. Sara has heart worm and is treated for it and has gained more weight since we got her ! Sara loves to be outside or riding shot gun in daddy's truck! Sara also loves other dogs and children and will hang with the kids more then the adults! Sara is a very caring dog and we love her so much
My anniversary/birthday / Christmas present Colorado. .. my adoption story is this. .. my local humane society was having a black friday adopt-a- thon but I was 5 minutes later than the time they were suppose to start. .result? Every dog but 3 were spoken for and 2 of them they wanted adopted together the other one wasn't a fit for my family. .. so I went on petfinder and found a rescue in Maine that had several cute dogs. .. result? None of the ones pictured were available. .. 4 am lunch break I was browsing pet finder and came across a gorgeous blue eyed boy. . I reluctantly messaged and asked if he was still available and to my delight he was. .. 3 days later it was confirmed he was ours! ! I couldn't have asked for a better rescue to work with! ! I really do feel like we're all COH family!
Emma formerly the Ditch Mama and now the Queen... I finished my veggies mommy.. can I please have dessert now?
Our little Clover all comfy and cozy! She's the love of our lives ?
Shrek was a foster fail and is still my Mommas baby
Hope and Goose both adopted from COH. They have been so much fun over the years. We love them!!
My Jasmine...a "special needs" gal from TN...sits pretty, gives paw dances...and is the very love of my life...can't thank you enough, and with all your encouragement and love for this little sweetie..she survived because of Deb, and Theresa...and Cheryl. Trusted me ... so many heartful thanks
This little boy was my attempt at fostering...and an epic fail! he is an adorable little bundle of energy that has attitude! he loves nothing more than curling up in your lap or stealing your spot on the couch. He loves Cruiser and the 2 of them play together all day. he is now completing his "Good Manners" class for puppies and will turn 1 in a couple weeks. He stole my heart that day as they handed him to me right off the truck from down south and he peed on me and snarled! I couldn't love this little firecracker more. Thank you Circle of Hope for your dedication to dogs! And a big thank you to Donna Wingo who cared for both my pups and to all of you volunteers!
I adopted Cruiser in March 2016. He was 8 months old and a happy wagging pup. we took walks every day and trips to a baseball field where he could chase a Frisbee and tennis balls. He is an easy going mellow boy who loves everybody including my kitties. I can never thank Circle of Hope K9 volunteers enough, all those who rescued and cared for him and so many other dogs, so that I could adopt this gentle boy. [aka Pongo]
Cruiser and Cooper were adopted by the same family!
We adopted Loki (the one eating leftovers off our son's face in the picture) 4 1/2 years ago, and in March he became a big brother
Quinton, almost 4 years old now came into our lives shortly after my husband and I got married. Our first family dog!
Here are Mom and son Adeline and Bubba! We'll have Bubba 4 years in Dec and Addy 4 years in Feb.
Just over a year ago, our family began the search for our
Ariel. It had been two years since we lost our beloved 16-year old pup?our
?first? baby?and until that point, we just didn?t feel ready. But last summer
we all started discussing how we wanted to bring another dog into our life.
Scouring the local shelters for a while, we couldn?t seem to find a match. And
then I came across Ariel on Petfinder. There was just something about her
little face, and it was the first time I felt compelled to click the ?inquire?
button on the site.
A nearly instantaneous response from and phone call with
Erin and we got the ball rolling on our paperwork. A little nervous about this
all, I discussed with Erin how the process works and how we would get to meet
Ariel (I was not sure about saying yes to adopt a dog we hadn?t yet met in
person). Fortunately for our family, a good friend, Marleen, just so happened
to be a volunteer for Circle of Hope and she offered to pick Ariel up from
transport in Albany (an hour and a half away) so we could meet her.
My husband joined Marleen and, after a long wait and drive he
brought the puppy home. I got to meet her very late at night on July 31.
Immediate love. But the real test was the next morning, when our three boys
(then 7, 10, and 12) were introduced to Ariel. That was it?then and there she
became part of our family.
Today she gets to run free on two acres, where she is
constantly exploring?and sometimes digging and hunting. Her favorite thing in the
world is to run around with ?her? boys, intervening as they play ball or
goading them into chasing her. When school starts back up, she will be sad?but
she is content to stay home with mom and then jump in the car every day to wait
outside the school, greet all the kids, and welcome her boys.
Reacquainting ourselves with puppy training after a decade
and a half hiatus?and now trying to do so with three kids ?helping??was
certainly a challenge. But it?s been more than worth it. And it?s been really
cool to be able to follow along on the Facebook page and see how some of her
brothers and sisters (and all of the other CoH pups!) are doing.
keep telling my kids that once they?re older and I no longer have to be heading
in a million directions with their schedules, I want to be a foster mama for
Circle of Hope and help other families find their Ariels!
I know you don't do any of your tireless work for the praise but I cannot thank you enough for your dedication to saving these babies. I adopted Benny (fka Abraham) in April 2015. He was 4 months old and being fostered near me by Jane Neri. I was originally approved to adopt another dog, but was told that I could meet Benny and introduce him to my other rescue dog to see if they clicked. They did, and they so love each other! Benny is the sweetest, yet goofiest dog I've ever met. He always cracks me up with his goofiness, like stretching so much he falls off the couch, running so fast that he slides across the floor, or just simply sleeping in silly poses. He's a big mush. His pastime includes running laps in the yard, rolling around with his doggy sister, stealing and hiding everyone's socks, and trying to get pets all the time. Aside from being the cutest. dog. ever., he is also very smart and very willing to please us humans. We just love him to pieces and are so happy to be able to share our love with him. Thank you!!!
Dear Everyone at Circle of Hope, We adopted Flurry 3 years ago and weren't quite sure what to expect. She has changed our lives for the better and brought us so much love and joy! Everyone who meets her instantly loves her, and she loves all the attention! We couldn't be more grateful for everyone at Circle of Hope who made this possible!
We adopted Henry and Roz at different times but they are the best of friends. I've owned many dogs but these 2 were my first rescues. This may sound "crazy" but after spending years with these two precious dogs, I believe rescue dogs truly know they were saved from a bad fate and show love and dedication so completely because of their past experience. Thank you COH
We loved Mulligan (aka Joe) from the moment he stepped off that van...and he loved us too! He fits in our family of 2 kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 rabbit perfectly! Match made in rescue heaven!
Daisy is my very best friend?? She's my furry child and she completes our family in every way. There isn't a day ,that I wake up next to her ,and am so thankful and lucky to be her mom. Thank you for rescuing her ?? She holds our hearts in her paws????
December 2010 we rescued Murphy "Creedance". Today he is a happy goofy 7 year old that has brought so much joy and happiness to our family. We love him so much and are so grateful to Circle of Hope K9!Rescue for giving us the opportunity to rescue this amazing boy!!!!
Dori, COH adopted 9+ years ago, Zayne, adopted not quite 3 months ago.
We adopted Dante in November 2014, after the lucky guy was loved & nurtured by Theresa Porowski! He has been our little prince since the day we brought him home. A month ago, we rescued another pup from North Haven Animal Control. Dante is the best big brother to little Thor.
Here's Ava, our jersey shore princess. She was rescued in Tennessee when her mama (Ditch Mama) was found with her litter. We adopted her December 2015. Ava is the love of our lives. She enjoys playing on the beach, vanilla ice cream, finding great sticks to chew, playing rough with her Daddy and snuggling on her moms pillow at night. We are so in love
Haley (formerly Halen) has been with Coco and Peanut now for 1 1/2 years. She is a handful of love and adventure. Thank you COH for bringing us together!
He likes to snuggle on the cat bed. He also brought up a blanket with him
I've had Derby for a little over two years now thanks to COH and I can honestly say he is my best friend. I am so lucky to have found him and so thankful to COH for saving him initially and trusting him to my care.
Ruth a short while ago with our beloved Tux. Tux crossed over rainbow bridge age 2 1/2 with feline leukemia. Ruth still looks for him. Ruth came to us from Circle of Hope and was in very bad shape. She has had fungus on her paws, hookworm, heart worm positive- off the charts high!,and a skin condition that no one can clear up. Her back hair is so thin you can see her pigment of her skin. But we wouldn't give her up for the world! We lost our beloved Emma just a week or two after getting Ruth. She was a blue Weimaraners rescue that was 12 yrs old. So Ruthie was an angel coming to us when we lost our Emma. The Furbee's are eternally grateful. She is definitely family. And yes Phyllis she still takes that paw to get under covers. Lol?
From COH: Karen we cannot thank YOU enough for taking on and loving such a difficult case...we all knew she was well worth it!!
I can't thank your group enough for having Shiloh come into my life 2/2013. He is amazing! And he still thinks he's a puppy! Lol

Kristoff joined our pack in 2015 and he fit in immediately. He is a sweet gentle giant. We can't imagine our home without this beautiful boy.
George Bailey then and now. George joined our pack in 2016. He wakes up happy and never stops wagging. He loves his older brother Kristoff. We love little George bailey and are so glad he is here to stay
Molson (aka Marley) joined our family in January 2009. He is very sweet, gentle, a great watch dog, and the best big brother! We love him! ??
HARPER?? This little snuggle bug brings joy to each and every day
It has been a year since we adopted our baby Andy and I wouldn't have it any other way! He makes our day better every day with his playful personality ....Thank you Circle of Hope!
Oliver has only been here 3.5 months and boy does he fit right him! Cleo and him are the bestest of friends, do everything together(including getting in trouble) and we all love him dearly(minus the cats ?) Thank you so much for giving us our newest family member! And thank you Herb Jones for telling us about COH! Although I couldn't foster at this time, I'd love to be able to come a volunteer and help with transport etc. Please let me know who to contact!
